We are defining a new scientific field.
zally is a Behavioral AI Lab. We build foundational models that give technology a continuous, real-time understanding of behavior - and the infrastructure to act on it.
MISSIONMake behavior understood.
Technology has never understood behavior in real time. Not once. Not anywhere. Every product, every platform, every intelligence built to serve people or operate autonomously - all of them decide without understanding what is actually happening in the moment they act.
The gap is not in the data. It is not in the models. It is built into the architecture of every system that has ever existed. That is not a product problem. The flaw is structural. And structural problems do not have feature-level solutions.
They require a new science. That science is Behavioral AI. This is what zally builds.
FOUNDING FRAMEWORKThe stack we are built on.
NORTH STARA world where behavior is understood.
PROBLEMEverything is decided. Nothing is understood.
THESISWhen no system can understand behavior as it unfolds, you do not improve the systems. You build the science that can.
MISSIONMake behavior understood.
FOUNDER & CEOPatrick Smith
I found the gap first in a product. Then in an industry. Then in everything. Every system that operates on a record of the world - not the world as it is. The gap between what is actually happening and what is decided is where decisions fail, trust breaks down, and technology falls short of what it promised.
I started zally because technology has never understood behavior in real time. Not once. Not anywhere. And no one had built the science to change it. The flaw is structural. Structural problems do not have feature-level solutions. They require a new science.
This is the problem I could not leave alone.
WHAT WE BELIEVEThe principles behind the science.
Understanding over surveillance
Behavioral AI exists to close the gap - not to accumulate behavioral data, build persistent profiles, or extract control from users. Those are not constraints on the science. They are properties of the science done correctly.
Humans must stay in the chain
As autonomous systems act at machine speed, the ability to keep humans meaningfully inside the authorization chain is both a technical differentiator and a founding principle. Intelligence without human accountability is not progress.
Technology must adapt to people
The founding conviction: every technology humans interact with requires the human to conform. That is the wrong direction. Technology must understand the world it operates in - not force the world to conform to it.
TEAMBehind every great AI foundation are great humans.
